UPF Virtuous, Good Report, Praiseworthy.

I feel like I need to tweak my "Up Lifting Fridays" after I post something I wonder if they are really that...  uplifting? In our church we have 13 articles of faith defining what we believe, and in the 13th it says, "if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things. So with that said, I'm going to focus on these things. After all we all could use a little (LOT) of that!!

There is so many things in life that tend to drag us down, to darken and make us draw into ourselves. We worry over things that we can not control, we lose hope to the fear of things that will never happen. I know for me when I reach out to others I find myself, the person I want to be. I find hope not only in life but in the future. My Angel mother taught me that when I was feeling down I should go and serve others and that's when I would find happiness.  Like Brittany say's "when we reach out to others we forget our own problems, and the joy that comes from service exceeded our difficulties". On the flip side of that we too need to be able to receive too, being on the receiving end is much harder if you ask me, but that is another topic for another day! Go out and serve someone, even if it is just a smile! We are all hurting in some way and could use some kindness! Happy Friday! I think I'll go and look for a sock monkey pattern... Oh, this one is really cute!

I love this article. I too have found that service lifts me out of the worst moments. When I am down, I start hunting for someone who needs a secret lift. It's the best therapy in the whole world.
Thanks for the great reminder today.

Sometimes I feel that I can't get to everyone that I want to help. It is then that I remember that the "BEST" choice is to be there for my family and uplift and bless them.

You are so amazing and this video was so inspiring and I thank you so much for sharing it Helen, reminds me that I need to be better and do better when I get down on my life. I have it so good and so many suffer so much and yet they do instead of stand still. What a beautiful lesson and a beautiful strong girl. I love you!!
